Bottlerocket Social Hall plans to open in March 2027 inside The Crocodile at 2505 First Ave. in Belltown, according to an Instagram announcement from the venue. The project will combine the former Madame Lou’s and Here-After basement spaces under one roof.

Bottlerocket founder Chris Copen opened the original location in Pittsburgh’s Allentown neighborhood in 2022, when he was 23. In late 2024, he began searching for a city to open a second Bottlerocket location. That search eventually led to Seattle and The Crocodile.

The company expects the space to hold 400 guests for concerts and 200 for seated shows. Plans include tiered viewing areas, an expanded bar, and an intimate interior.

The calendar will include alternative comedy, dance parties, touring and local bands, and film screenings. The Seattle venue will also bring Bottlerocket’s original Pittsburgh programming to Belltown, along with plenty of hot dogs.

“Our hope is to return the best programming that both spaces offered, in one cohesive space,” Bottlerocket wrote in its Instagram announcement.

The goal is to create a new location that feels connected to Seattle without losing Bottlerocket’s identity.

The team has contacted organizers and performers who previously held events at Madame Lou’s and Here-After. Bottlerocket plans to welcome some of those programs back after the renovation.
