Popular bagel shop and deli Call Your Mother is coming to South Florida, with its first Florida location expected to open in Coral Gables this December.
The Washington, D.C.-born concept has listed Coral Gables on its website as “coming soon,” to 317 Miracle Mile, confirming its South Florida expansion. The team is targeting an early December 2026 opening.
Husband-and-wife team Andrew Dana and chef Daniela Moreira founded Call Your Mother in Washington in 2018 after getting their start at local farmers markets. The pair opened the brand’s first permanent shop in Washington’s Park View neighborhood later that year.
Call Your Mother has since grown to 27 operating locations across Washington, D.C., Maryland, Virginia, Colorado and Illinois. Its footprint includes six shops in Washington, D.C.; locations throughout Northern Virginia and suburban Maryland; a sizable Colorado presence in Denver and surrounding communities including Boulder, Golden, Fort Collins and Littleton; and a Wicker Park location in Chicago.
And the company isn’t finished growing. In addition to Coral Gables, Call Your Mother lists upcoming locations in Philadelphia’s Fishtown and Rittenhouse Square neighborhoods, Denver’s Happy Canyon neighborhood and Washington’s Adams Morgan neighborhood as coming soon.
The brand has built a following for its colorful, unconventional spin on the traditional Jewish deli. Its menu centers on bagels and schmears along with breakfast and lunch bagel sandwiches, coffee, cookies and pastries.
The Miracle Mile shop will also feature Call Your Mother’s signature colorful aesthetic, with pink, yellow and teal among the planned design elements.
The Coral Gables location marks Call Your Mother’s long-awaited entry into Florida and adds another national name to Miracle Mile’s growing collection of restaurants and food concepts.
