Terry Black’s Barbecue announced the opening date for its highly-anticipated New Braunfels location. The market-style barbecue restaurant will open to the public on Tuesday, September 15, 2026. Terry Black’s Barbecue is located at 1310 E. Common St., New Braunfels, TX 78130. The new location brings Terry Black’s signature Central Texas barbecue and legendary hospitality to New Braunfels, serving up the same commitment to craft, quality and tradition that has made Terry Black’s a destination for barbecue lovers from Texas and beyond.
“We’ve had our eye on New Braunfels for a long time,” said Terry Black’s Barbecue Co-Founder Mike Black in a statement. “It’s a city with deep Texas roots, a strong sense of community and a lot of energy behind it. We’re proud to plant some roots here ourselves and can’t wait to start serving New Braunfels.”
Terry Black’s Barbecue was founded in 2014 by siblings Christina, Mike and Mark Black in honor of their father, Terry. The restaurants have built a loyal following across the state and have gained a reputation for upholding authentic barbecue traditions, hospitality and quality products.
Terry Black’s Barbecue is known for a guest experience that highlights craftsmanship and consistency. Like its other restaurants, the New Braunfels location puts the craft of Central Texas barbecue on full display, with smokers prominently featured for guests to experience the process firsthand. The New Braunfels location will serve up the same familiar dishes that Terry Black’s has become known for, including tender meats like its slow-cooked Brisket, spicy Jalapeno Cheddar Sausage and succulent Dino Beef Ribs, as well as side dishes like Cream Corn, Mac and Cheese, Green Beans and more. Those with a sweet tooth can indulge in Terry Black’s Peach Cobbler, Banana Pudding, Chocolate Pudding or Pecan Pies. Guests can pair their meal with a curated selection of Texas craft beers, wine, non-alcoholic beverage options and Terry Black’s Famous Frozen Black Margarita.
Terry Black’s Barbecue in New Braunfels will be open Sunday through Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. The restaurant will be open from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. In addition to in-restaurant dining, Terry Black’s Barbecue will offer delivery and pickup options for guests to take advantage of. The barbecue joint will also offer catering for groups up to 20 people. With pickup and delivery options available, Terry Black’s Barbecue is an ideal partner for office lunches, team meetings, family gatherings and more.
The New Braunfels location will feature a two-story covered outdoor deck for additional seating, as well as a 1,400 square foot pithouse for barbecue operations.
