Meet Dumplings & Noodles is expanding with a second restaurant at 8211 Agora Parkway, Suite 112, in Selma. The address is within The Forum at Olympia Parkway, near Live Oak.

Owners Jerry Shi and Shi Xiaoxiang created the restaurant brand and opened its first location in Friendswood, southeast of Houston. Jerry Shi told What Now San Antonio that they are planning to open the new restaurant within five to six months.

A Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation filing describes a $70,000 renovation of the 4,100-square-foot space. Plans include new finishes in the dining room and restrooms, new lighting, changes to the fixed seating layout, and new millwork. Swan Studio Architects is the listed design firm.

The new location will be a full-service restaurant designed for family meals, nights out with friends, and celebrations. The interior will have traditional Chinese design elements and a simple, understated look.

“We’re not just selling the food. We are selling the experience,” Jerry said.

Dumplings and noodles are central to the menu. At the Friendswood restaurant, dumplings are available boiled, steamed, or pan-fried. Options include dumplings filled with cabbage, pork, and shrimp, as well as beef, cheese, and onion.

Jerry said the Selma restaurant will also have a full bar with cocktails and draft beer, along with several varieties of boba tea.

The owners plan to continue growing Meet Dumplings & Noodles and are looking for possible locations for future restaurants.
