Leader Fitness is expanding! According to a recently filed Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation permit, the new gym is planned to open in Spring within the James McGee Surv Abs 588 subdivision inside the Grand Parkway Marketplace retail power center at 22606 Kuykendahl Road.

The permit further details that construction just kicked off and is slated to wrap up on New Year’s Eve this year. If all goes well with permitting and the estimated $2,250,000 construction project, the new Leader Fitness should open by the end of this year or early 2027.

At the helm of the opening is founder Patrick AndersonWhat Now Houston reached out to Anderson to find out more about the expansion. Unfortunately, we did not hear back by the time of this publication.

“At Leader Fitness, we firmly believe that true leadership lies in the balance of strength and humility,” the Leader Fitness website reads.

“We have carefully chosen the rhinoceros as the symbol that represents our brand, as it exemplifies these qualities, making it the perfect representation of who we are as a company.”

Leader Fitness began in 2020 as a sports nutrition and supplement company founded by Anderson. The brand evolved in 2021 with the concept of combining high-level training equipment and a dedicated workout space with its nutrition roots. After 18 months of development, the team officially opened its flagship 24/7 facility in Tomball, Texas, in 2023.

The gym quickly grew to over 1,000 members by offering specialized bodybuilding and powerlifting equipment alongside recovery amenities like saunas and cold plunges, plus an on-site barbershop and health clinic.

“Top-tier equipment, expert coaching, and a community that shows up,” the brand’s website reads.

“Start with a full week on us — no commitment, no catch.”

Now embarking on its second opening, the plan is to construct a massive new 30,000-square-foot state-of-the-art facility off Kuykendahl Road featuring an MMA octagon, HYROX turf area, and expanded health and childcare services.
Check it all out for yourself when the new Leader Fitness opens in Spring within the James McGee Surv Abs 588 subdivision inside the Grand Parkway Marketplace retail power center at 22606 Kuykendahl Road by the beginning of 2027.
