Following longstanding Atlanta Coffee Roasters’ recent closure at 2205 Lavista Rd, another local coffee shop is swooping into the Toco Hills space. Blue Donkey Coffee will take over the spot, according to signage first reported on by Tomorrow’s News Today Atlanta.

Inspired by the idea of craft iced coffee, Atlanta natives Ed Lane, David Lane and William Rankin founded Blue Donkey Coffee in 2012. The team has a craft roastery in Atlanta, where they are able to roast beans on a daily basis. The coffee spot continues to focus on iced coffee blends and cold brews.

Blue Donkey currently has stores in Buckhead, Grant Park, Georgia Tech and Emory University. They also operate seasonally at Piedmont Green Market in Piedmont Park.

What Now Atlanta has reached out to the ownership team for details on the opening timeline for the Toco Hills location but did not hear back prior to the time of publication.
