Sephora plans to open a 5,000-square-foot store at GSQ in Goodyear in 2027, the development announced in a press release.
GSQ is located at 1900 N. Civic Square. An exact suite and opening date have not been announced. Sephora is one of six tenants included in the latest round of leases at GSQ.
The beauty retailer carries makeup, skincare, haircare, and fragrance from more than 500 brands. Its stores also offer beauty tools, bath and body products, gift sets, travel-size products, and the company’s Sephora Collection.
Sephora was among the businesses Goodyear residents said they most wanted to see in a city survey conducted last year.
“Last year, the City of Goodyear surveyed residents on the retailers and restaurants they most wanted to see, and Sephora, Postino, Flower Child and Spinato’s Pizzeria all ranked in the top 10,” Mike Ebert, managing partner of RED Development, said in the announcement. “Bringing those names to GSQ reflects the kind of leasing strategy we’ve built this development around.”
GSQ covers 150 acres surrounding Goodyear Civic Square. City Hall, a two-story library, and a two-acre community park are already part of the district. RED Development and Globe Corporation are adding retail, restaurants, entertainment, offices, residences, and hotel space.
Sephora was founded in Limoges, France, in 1969 by Dominique Mandonnaud and has been part of LVMH since 1997. The company now has more than 3,000 stores in 35 markets worldwide.
