Nashville-based Radish Kitchen is bringing its fresh, made-from-scratch menu to Charlotte, with a new restaurant planned for 2820 Selwyn Avenue in the Myers Park neighborhood. The 3,691-square-foot restaurant is currently under construction at Tranquil Court and is expected to open in early 2027, according to the Charlotte Business Journal.
Thrift CRES also announced the lease through its Instagram account, identifying Radish Kitchen as the new tenant taking part of the space formerly occupied by The People’s Market.
The Charlotte restaurant will represent Radish Kitchen’s first location outside Tennessee. According to their website, Chef and cookbook author Amanda Frederickson opened the concept in August 2020, with the brand built around fresh salads, grain bowls and wraps. Radish Kitchen currently operates four locations across West Nashville, East Nashville, Franklin/Cool Springs and downtown Nashville’s Assembly Food Hall.
Radish Kitchen’s menu centers on customizable salads, grain bowls and wraps, with signature combinations including Chicken Mamacita, Chicken Caesar, Hot & Crispy, West Coast Radish, Falafel Fattoush, Rad Cobb and Sweets & Lentils. Guests can also build their own salad, grain bowl or wrap with choices including grilled chicken, crispy baked chicken, tamari-glazed salmon, steak and baked falafel.
According to Radish Kitchen, the brand prepares its dressings, marinades and dips in-house and uses locally sourced ingredients. The company also says it uses avocado oil instead of seed oils in most recipes, utilizes biodegradable materials when possible and composts food scraps from its kitchens.
The new Charlotte location will be part of Tranquil Court, a mixed-use property at 2820 Selwyn Avenue with ground-floor retail in Myers Park. Property owner Childress Klein describes the development as a 62,983-square-foot, five-story property located between Charlotte’s SouthPark and Park Road submarkets.
With construction underway, Radish Kitchen is targeting an early 2027 opening for its Charlotte debut. The expansion will introduce the Nashville-born fast-casual concept to the North Carolina market while adding another restaurant to Tranquil Court’s existing retail lineup
