Pilates Addiction is preparing to open a San Francisco studio at 272 King St., San Francisco. The company’s official King Street location page lists the studio as an upcoming location and invites prospective members to join its VIP list for opening updates.

The San Francisco studio is being developed by franchisee Chethan Prabhu, who said in an interview with WhatNow that he and his wife became interested in the brand after he began practicing Pilates. Prabhu said the couple are franchisees for the Bay Area and that the King Street studio will be their first location, followed by a planned studio in Pacifica. He said the San Francisco location was selected in part because he lives in the area and wanted to begin the Bay Area development close to home.

Pilates Addiction offers instructor-led classes using its Aurum Reformer equipment. According to the company’s website, the machine combines a reformer, jump board, ballet barre and Wunda Chair. The King Street studio will offer four class formats: Ignite, Core+, Max and Mobility Rx.

Ignite is a 30-minute introductory class, while Core+, Max and Mobility Rx are 50-minute formats. The company describes Core+ as a full-body, low-impact workout, while Max focuses on strength, control, and endurance, and Mobility Rx emphasizes flexibility, control, and strength.

The studio will also offer monthly memberships and drop-in classes. Its King Street page lists founding membership options and states that VIP members will receive updates about the opening timeline, events, and when classes become available.
