What Now has been following the growth of the Hungry Greek, the Tampa Bay-based Greek restaurant franchise, for some years now, reporting on openings in locales like Lutz, Tampa, Parrish, and Dunedin. Now, the Hungry Greek is preparing to expand once again, with an opening planned for mid-October at 8859 Little Road in New Port Richey.
It’s the second location for Adil, a Hungry Greek franchisee, who says the brand has been consistently popular in the area.
“There are fourteen of them now,” Adil said. “It’s been received very well. People really know the brand.”
The menu features a selection of salads, pitas, bowls, and meals like the Gyro Dinner, Chicken Souvlaki, Surf & Turf, and Dolmades (Four Rolled Grape Leaves, Stuffed with Ground Beef, Rice and Traditional Greek Seasoning).
“Born from a father-son vision in West Tampa in the early 2000s, The Hungry Greek has grown into a thriving fast-casual brand known for fresh flavors, warm hospitality, and a strong community presence,” says the Hungry Greek website.
Opening in the space on Little Road, the Hungry Greek joins a food and drink community that includes nearby restaurants like White Duck Espresso and Tropical Smoothie Cafe.
