“Hamlin Is Turning Into an Evening Neighborhood this summer,” said a blog post by realtor Susana Wight earlier this year. “For most of the last five years, Hamlin has been a daytime errand grid. School drop-off, Publix, Chick-fil-A, the pediatrician, home… Summer 2026 is the season that changes.”
The post went on to describe new restaurants and entertainment destinations that have opened or are in the works in Hamlin: concepts like Agave Bandido and PopStroke.
But it’s not just restaurants that have been joining Hamlin this year. A new outpost of ABC Fine Wine & Spirits is also planned for Hamlin Town Center, Wight writes.
Founded as a package store in 1936, ABC Fine Wine & Spirits has well over 100 locations in Florida, and it remains family-owned to this day.
“We have always been family-owned and -operated,” says the ABC website. “[Founder Jack] Holloway’s grandsons Charles Bailes III (Chairman and CEO) and Jess Bailes (Executive Vice President) have led the business since 1994. Several other family members and relatives serve in executive leadership roles, store operations and on the Board of Directors. We currently employ more than 1,500 dedicated team members throughout Florida. There are multiple generations of other families who have also made careers at ABC.”
The new store will offer the same broad selection of wines, beers, and spirits that have made ABC Fine Wine & Spirits a longstanding Florida institution.
No opening date has been announced yet for the ABC planned in Hamlin Town Center.
