Tropezón, a Spanish tapas restaurant and bar in Miami Beach, will close after five years on Española Way. The bar has served the Miami community for five years with craft cocktails and authentic Spanish flavors.

Miami Beach’s Tropezón Announces Closure

Known for its charming and vintage Western-saloon aesthetic, Tropezón is a traditional Spanish gin and tapas restaurant. The bar is located on historic Española Way in Miami Beach.

The elevated bar program includes a blend of infused gins with creative ingredients, an extensive sherry and wine selection, and beers. The menu includes tapas such as tortilla Española, grilled shishito peppers and patatas bravas.

Through a social media announcement, the team behind the bar shared the closure news. They wrote, “After five unforgettable years on Española Way, Tropezón will host its final dinner service on Saturday, October 3rd.”

The team did not provide a reason for the closure. They thanked the community and said, “To every guest who joined us for a meal, celebrated with us, or simply made Tropezón part of their time in Miami, thank you.”

Hospitality Group Behind the Tapas

The bar is part of Lost Boy and Co., a Miami-based hospitality group founded by two friends, Randy Alonso and Chris Hudnall, in 2017. The group focuses on history and aesthetics, and utilizes food, beverage, and design for storytelling. The official website of the group defines its approach as “candid, authentic, and thoughtful.”

The group supports restaurants with concept development, design, menu curation, brand identity, operational systems, and execution. Apart from Tropezón, the group operates Fox’s Lounge, Brother’s Keeper Bar, and Lost Boy Dry Goods. Lost Boy & Co. opened Brother’s Keeper Bar in Miami Beach in 2024.

In the closure announcement, the Tropezón team encouraged customers to visit the restaurant and celebrate with them by raising a glass “to five years of memories and good company.”

Even though Tropezón is wrapping up its business, the Miami community can visit Lost Boy and Co.’s other locations to enjoy a creative cocktail and meal.
