Intenso Hospitality is coming to South Beach. According to a Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation permit, the new Italian eatery is expected to debut in the iconic Lincoln Road Shopping District at 640 Lincoln Rd.

The brand’s website says that the new concept will be launching soon. We suspect that Intenso Hospitality will open in Miami by this fall, at the latest, in winter.

What Now Miami briefly spoke with owner Salvatore Viscomi, who confirmed the opening. Unfortunately, Viscomi was unable to share further details by the time of this publication.

Intenso Group, operating in some international expansions as Intenso Hospitality LLC, is an upscale Swiss-born hospitality group focused on authentic, high-quality Italian cuisine and catering. The group was founded by Antonio Thomas Saurino in Switzerland in 2018. The brand’s foundational mission was to bring traditional southern Italian culinary experiences—particularly inspired by the flavours and traditions of the Amalfi Coast—into the Swiss hospitality market.

The historic identity of the brand is heavily built around its executive chef, Ciro Guarino. Chef Guarino crafts menus that revisit traditional Bel Paese dishes using ingredients imported directly from elite, curated producers via Italian Quality. Their properties generally blend a cozy, solid-wood ambiance with a dual-concept model that features a luxury dining room, a lounge bar, and an on-site Italian specialty product shop.

Over its first several years, the brand expanded rapidly across major Swiss hubs, establishing seven locations. Key destinations include refined operations in Geneva, Lausanne, Crans-Montana (operating as Memphis by Intenso), Verbier, and Zurich.

“Located in the IWG business centre in the heart of Zurich, Intenso offers you excellent breakfast formulas,” the Intenso Italian food website reads.

“This refined and warm restaurant offers an authentic Italian moment with traditional dishes revisited, as well as light culinary creations thought especially for businesswomen and men with a busy agenda.”

Looking to scale internationally, the company officially registered Intenso Hospitality LLC in Florida in August 2024, setting up administrative and operational roots in Miami Beach. Led by Viscomi and brand consultant Melissa Feliciano, Intenso announced a major multi-restaurant expansion into the United States. The company is launching its very first restaurant outside of Switzerland in the Lincoln Road Shopping District in Miami, with plans to debut a seven-location expansion across Florida.

Intenso is anticipated to open in South Beach at 640 Lincoln Rd by this fall.

(This is a developing story. As more information is made available, we will update this article. Stay tuned!)
