A longtime San Antonio Tex-Mex restaurant, The Curve, has announced its permanent closure. After 51 years of service, the restaurant will shut its operations by the end of December 2026.
Beloved The Curve Restaurant Announces Closure
Well-known for its high-quality, traditional Tex-Mex comfort food and welcoming experience, The Curve Restaurant is operated by the Robles family. The restaurant was founded in 1975 and has operated on San Antonio’s Southside for more than five decades.
Menu options include breakfast dishes, Tex-Mex staples, and American classics such as pancakes, beef enchiladas, breakfast tacos, and bacon cheeseburgers.
Owner Misty Robles announced the closure with a social media post. The owner stated that The Curve, located at 4379 SE Military Drive in San Antonio, will close its doors in December 2026. “December 2026 will be our final month in business. Thank you for 51 incredible years.”
In the post, Robles thanked the San Antonio community for supporting the restaurant over the years.
Community Responses on Social Media
According to the Hoodline report, NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal has dined at The Curve several times.
Following the closure announcement, several loyal customers of the restaurant expressed their disappointment on social media. One of the customers wrote, “Very sad news, have been eating there since the late 70s and always enjoyed it. Best of luck, Danny, Bernie and Misty, y’all will be missed.”
Another customer commented, “Damn, so many memories of great times eating here since I was little. I hate to see it close, but it will always have a place in my heart. Congratulations on five decades of great service to the city.”
While The Curve Restaurant is closing permanently, the San Antonio dining community still has a few months left to visit the restaurant and enjoy one more meal.
