Valvoline Instant Oil Change plans to build a new automotive service center at 13131 Nacogdoches Road in San Antonio, according to a project filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.

The address used to be a Sonic Drive-In, which is now closed.

Plans call for a 3,447-square-foot building developed specifically for Valvoline. The filing classifies the project as new construction and estimates the cost at approximately $1.45 million.

Construction is tentatively scheduled to begin in March 2027 and conclude in September 2027. An opening date has not been announced.

Valvoline Instant Oil Change specializes in drive-through automotive maintenance. Services vary by location but may include oil changes, battery replacement, air filter replacement, transmission service, tire rotation, and other preventive maintenance.

Valvoline Instant Oil Change already operates several service centers throughout San Antonio and more than 2,100 across the United States and Canada.

What Now San Antonio reached out to Valvoline for additional information, and this article may be updated as more details become available.
