A group of certified hospitality hit-makers are working on DC’s next great watering hole. The team behind Nanny O’Briens, Atomic Billiards, and Franklin Hall among others is opening The Porch & Pebbles, new concepts dedicated to building community and providing a place for neighbors to mingle, reports local media outlet PoPville.

The Porch & Pebbles will actually be two separate but complementary entities-a bar and restaurant space upstairs and a game room downstairs-located at 3400 11th Street NW. The establishments will be returning life to the storefront that previously housed Makan and The Thirsty Crow.

Helmed by Geoff Dawson, Rob Hess, Amy David and Arturo Magana, The Porch will be located upstairs and will offer a full menu-what Dawson describes as “Good food and drinks at comfortable prices, a large patio, trivia and family meals.”

Pebbles, Dawson explains, will provide “Pool and games give friends another reason to meet at the same address. Food comes from the upstairs kitchen, supporting both venues with one menu and one culinary team.”

While The Porch & Pebbles doesn’t yet have an official opening date yet, the concepts should be customer ready in as little as 3 months and by winter’s end at the latest.
