A new mature nightlife spot in Baton Rouge is preparing to open its doors just in time for Halloween. Next Cedarcrest Bar & Lounge, located at 10467 Airline Hwy., is scheduled to host its grand opening on October 31.

Co-owner Kimberly Cage said the establishment aims to fill a specific niche for local nightlife seekers who are at least 25 years old. “Our goal is just to create a safe, enjoyable, fun vibe for the Baton Rouge region,” Cage said.

Guests visiting the new lounge can expect a standard selection of beverages, alongside a signature house drink aptly named the “Next” and a heavier specialty cocktail dubbed the “Next Level”. While food options will not be heavily featured at launch, Cage said the lounge may occasionally host visiting food trucks.

Entertainment will rotate between live bands and DJs on various nights. To celebrate its debut on Halloween night, the venue is pulling out all the stops for its earliest patrons.

“We’re doing a $500 cash giveaway, as well as we’re going to bring in a blues artist,” Cage said.

Doors open for the grand opening event on October 31, with organizers encouraging locals to come out and experience the new spot firsthand.
