Sunny Side Up, a locally owned family eatery known for its heart-warming blend of traditional breakfast fare and distinctive New Orleans flavor, is preparing to expand into the Hammond community. The crowd-pleasing concept serves an all-day menu spanning breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner staples, ranging from sweet funnel cakes and French toast to savory classics like chicken and waffles and a 10-ounce ribeye and eggs combo. Among its signature offerings is the NOLA Grits Debris: cheesy grits topped with pot roast debris, gravy, green onions, and a fried egg.
The upcoming Hammond outpost will mark the brand’s third location in Louisiana, expanding its regional footprint to the Northshore. Sunny Side Up currently operates two local spots: one at 1800 Hickory Ave. in Harahan and another at 5741 Crowder Blvd. in New Orleans East. What Now New Orleans has reached out to ownership for additional details regarding the exact street address, project timeline, and official opening date, but has not be able to connect.
