Oroshi Fish Co. is preparing to open a second Toronto location at 2564 Yonge St. in late fall 2026, according to INsauga. The new shop will bring Oroshi’s dry-aged sushi to Midtown Toronto.
Its original location operates at 962 College St., down Bill Cameron Lane, where customers enter through a blue door marked by a fish sign. The compact location offers takeout and delivery, with a few outdoor benches for customers who want to eat nearby.
The College Street location opens daily from 4 to 9 p.m. An exact opening date and operating hours for the new Yonge Street shop have not been announced.
Chefs Edward Bang, Jason Ching, and Jeff Kang opened Oroshi Fish Co. in February 2022. The company also supplies dry-aged fish to Toronto restaurants.
Oroshi works with global suppliers that use the Japanese ikejime method. Its team processes and butchers the fish in-house before dry-aging it for two to seven days. The process reduces moisture, creates a firmer texture, and concentrates the fish’s natural fat and umami flavor.
The shop’s current menu includes nigiri, sashimi, rolls, donburi, party trays, and chef-selected sushi sets. It also sells raw fish as whole or half portions and ready-to-eat saku blocks.
The Yonge Street restaurant is expected to follow the original location’s small, takeout-focused format. However, it will add a dedicated fish-processing kitchen.
