Gallery Cocktails & Bites, a new cocktail lounge and small-bites concept, is coming to the Short North at 642 N. High St. in Columbus, with an expected December 2026 opening, according to the Business Journal.
Raeshon Antrum and Elvis Sarfo, owners of HydeOut Kitchen & Bar at 201 S. High St., are developing the concept.
“We’ve done clubs, and we’ve done restaurants. We wanted to do something in between,” Antrum told Columbus Business First.
Gallery Cocktails & Bites will focus primarily on cocktails, with an upscale atmosphere featuring dim lighting, comfortable lounge furniture, and mellow music. The menu will offer small bites, including items such as meatballs and pretzel bites.
The bar will feature a cocktail menu of approximately 10 to 15 specialty drinks, with selections expected to rotate seasonally.
The name Gallery Cocktails & Bites was inspired by the building’s previous use as the home of Brandt-Roberts Gallery, which has since relocated to 76 N. High St. downtown and operates as the Brandt Gallery.
The owners are developing the approximately 1,800-square-foot space from the ground up. Because the location had not previously operated as a restaurant or bar, Antrum and Sarfo have had the opportunity to design the interior, including the kitchen and bar, around their new concept.
The Short North location was also appealing because of its proximity to HydeOut Kitchen & Bar and its strong pedestrian traffic.
Gallery Cocktails & Bites is expected to operate from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. on weeknights and until midnight on weekends.
The upcoming lounge will add another concept to the growing Short North dining and nightlife scene while expanding the portfolio of Antrum and Sarfo.
Additional details about the opening, menu, and grand-opening plans are expected to be announced closer to December.
