According to public filings, Long Play HiFi Cafe may be preparing to open at a new address in San Diego, at 1101 25th St.
Operating under the motto “el disco es cultura”, Longplay HiFi combines music and café culture. According to DoSD’s guide to San Diego listening bars, the intimate audiophile café and bar pairs carefully selected music with coffee, natural wine, shochu, beer, and light bites.
What Now San Diego reached out to owner Gibran Huerta, who declined to comment for now, adding that more details about “future moves” would be shared through the business’s newsletter.
It remains unclear whether the address represents a second location or a relocation, and no opening timeline has been confirmed.
What Now San Diego has also tracked food and beverage developments nearby Barrio Logan. This outlet previously reported on Fonda del Barrio, which opened at 2234 Logan Ave. in the former Barrio Dogg space, serving regional Mexican dishes alongside a full bar and weekend live music.
What Now San Diego also covered Jaguar Paw, a craft bar and seafood restaurant planned for Logan Avenue near Border X Brewing. Co-owner Zack Meyer confirmed the project.
