Music and drinks have never been a bad combination.
The owners of District 142 in Wyandotte are adding to their portfolio with a new restaurant addition next door, 150 Maple Street. The space will be both a bar and a spot for a quick meal after or before a concert. The owners have not yet announced an official opening date, but it may be as soon as later this month.
District 142 first opened in March 2023, and has since become a favored concert venue in the suburbs. In the past, the spot has hosted acts such as Afroman, Strangelove and local cover bands. The inside is large, with two floors for audience members.
From a recent post on District 142’s Facebook page, the new space will have a full bar, live audio from the neighboring venue, vinyl DJ’s and release parties. Small dishes to be served are flatbread pizzas, garlic parmesan pretzel bites and specialty hot dogs. A drink menu has not been revealed.
The venue is on the north side of Maple Street, next to District 142. Maple Street Tavern is also next to the building, and is at the corner of 2nd Street. Bishop Park is a short walk from the restaurant.
What Now Detroit is awaiting comment from the owners on the official opening. More information can be found on District 142’s social media pages.
