Children-focused training brand KidStrong has a new location heading to Cumming. It will open at The Collection at Forsyth at 410 Peachtree Parkway, Suite 3116.
Franchisee Patrick Houseman told What Now Atlanta that he is aiming for a March opening.
“Our goal is to open up with 500 members and immediately start to impact 500 families,” Houseman said.
As a parent of two children and a former foster parent, Houseman was drawn to the brand as a way to strengthen kids through a multifaceted approach. The science-backed training techniques are designed by child development experts, according to the website, and culminate in 45-minute classes that involve physical, cognitive and social activities.
Houseman said classes include positive affirmations, public speaking practice and social skills that are incorporated into physical activity.
“We’re starting to plant the seeds of how a kid would win at life through all of the different elements of class,” Houseman said. “So it’s really a life education program that’s disguised as a training program.”
This spot will join existing KidStrong locations already open in McDonough and Johns Creek. Across the U.S. and Canada, the franchise has grown to 210 locations and more than 500 territories sold.
Other franchisees are expanding in Snellville, Kennesaw, Marietta and Woodstock. Houseman is also scouting locations for a KidStrong in Roswell. By the end of 2027, he predicts there will be about seven locations in the Atlanta area.
