The Dump Luxe Furniture Outlet has launched a going-out-of-business sale as it prepares to close permanently. The closures include the retailer’s Atlanta store and locations in several other cities. The sale will include approximately $100 million worth of merchandise at retail value.

The Dump Luxe Furniture Outlet is Closing in Atlanta

The Dump Luxe Furniture Outlet is closing its business permanently at all locations. This includes the company’s store in Atlanta at 815 Sidney Marcus Boulevard. The sale gives shoppers a final opportunity to purchase brand-name furniture, mattresses, and handmade rugs at discounted prices.

According to PRNewswire, the retailer is closing after more than 21 years in business. Since opening in March 2005, the retailer has specialized in discounted furniture and closeout merchandise. This includes luxury closeouts, excess inventory, canceled orders, and designer samples. The company has built a loyal customer base among shoppers, interior designers, and decorators looking for high-quality furniture at lower prices.

Founder E.J. Strelitz said the closure marks the end of a long journey for him and his team.

He added, “Many of us are ready to retire and find joy in a new chapter, while others look forward to bigger and better opportunities. We are deeply grateful to our customers, colleagues and brand partners, and we wish a bright future for our competitors, the home furnishings industry and the great people in the communities we’ve served.”

The Atlanta outlet is among the company’s six locations outside Virginia that the company plans to close. According to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution report, the store opened on March 5, 2010, in the Buckhead area. The store occupies a 178,000-square-foot building that previously housed a Home Depot.

What Atlanta Shoppers Can Expect From the Liquidation Sale

The Dump Luxe Furniture Outlet began its liquidation sale on October 8. The sale includes approximately $100 million worth of merchandise at retail value across the chain.

The company has advertised discounts of 40% to 80% off established retail prices. However, actual discounts and available merchandise may be different.

The Dump Luxe Furniture Outlet has not announced a specific closing date for its outlets. It is closing its stores in Tempe, Arizona; Deerfield and Lombard in Illinois; Houston and Irving in Texas; and Norfolk and Richmond in Virginia.
