Earlier this week, What Now reported on plans for a new Cold Stone Creamery to launch in Bradenton. The ice cream franchise, which boasts more than 1,100 locations across the U.S., is having a busy year on Florida’s west coast. As it turns out, another new location is in the works, this time in Sun City Center.

According to plan review documents submitted by Odeh Saad Enterprise LLC, a new Cold Stone is opening at 3824 Sun City Center Blvd.

What Now confirmed news of the opening with a representative of the planned Cold Stone. The representative said the opening is still several weeks away.

“Cold Stone offers a highly customizable approach to ice cream and other confections, along with plenty of pre-imagined items,” said the What Now Tampa coverage. “Currently featured choices include The Cat in the Hat’s Cotton Candy Catastrophe, with Blue Cotton Candy Ice Cream mixed with Cith Sprinkles and Oreo Cookies; the Boo Batter Ice Cream Taco (Boo Batter™ Ice Cream wrapped in an orange waffle taco and coated with Chocolate and Spooky Sprinkles); and the Treat or Treat, with Boo Batter Ice Cream, mixed with Halloween Oreo cookies, Kit Kat, and M&M’s.”

Opening in the Sun City Center Boulevard location, the new Cold Stone will join Cypress Village Plaza, a retail center that also houses eateries like Old Castle Restaurant and Beef O’Brady’s.
