Suite Nine Bar & Lounge in Rancho Cordova has a new owner. S9 Ventures LLC, led by Carlos Peña, is taking over the bar at 11050 Coloma Rd., Suite 9, from its previous owner, Maralex LLC. The change of ownership is pending with the state, and a full bar license is part of the sale.
The concept is a small, laid-back cocktail bar known for its beer, karaoke and pool tables. It offers free parking, and its relaxed, neighborhood-bar atmosphere has made it a regular spot for karaoke nights in the area.
Maralex LLC has operated the bar under its current license since August 2017. The company’s managers are Alexis Henry and Marco Luise, who is also listed as a member and who has been associated with the bar for years.
The bar sits on Coloma Road, one of Rancho Cordova’s main commercial corridors, which is lined with restaurants, bars, shops and services. The city, in Sacramento County east of the capital, is home to a large number of offices and employers, and it draws steady customers from nearby neighborhoods.
Details about the new owners’ plans for the bar, including any changes to the name, the entertainment or the menu, have not been announced.
