A fresh spot to start the morning is in the works for the city.

Casa Acapulco Panderia is the name of a new bakery and dessert concept coming to 1975 S Congress Avenue in Palm Springs. From the name, the spot will also serve ice cream. An opening date has not yet been announced by the owner.

The concept is being opened by local Clara Merino and other family members. When contacted, Merino was not available for comment. The new business was filed as of Sept. 14.

Though a menu is not available, the word “panderia” is Spanish for bakery or shop where bread is made. It is also labeled as a restaurant, so other items like sandwiches may be served as well, along with drinks like coffee and tea.

The storefront is on the west side of S Congress Avenue, sharing the building with Appliance Connection and Hydro Vape & Smoke Shop. This is in a relatively residential area of Palm Springs, and it is a short drive from the Interstate 95 entrance ramp.

Casa Acapulco does not have a website or social media presence online yet, but more information will be revealed in the coming weeks.
