Joe & The Juice is working on its first Fort Lauderdale storefront. According to a permit filed with the Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation, Joe and The Juice is planned to open in Downtown Fort Lauderdale at 401 E. Las Olas Blvd, Suite 125.

The address specifically sits in the Las Olas Financial District in a mixed-use commercial building known as Las Olas City Centre, also home to the Bank of America Plaza. The tower features ground-floor retail, restaurants, and services integrated directly into the building.

Joe and The Juice will open in good company. On-site dining and retail include spots like Fleming’s Steakhouse & Wine Bar, Coyo Taco, Playa Bowls, Rice Mediterranean Kitchen, Wiseguy Pizza, Crema Gourmet, a Bank of America branch, and a UPS Store.

What Now Miami reached out to Joe and The Juice managing director, Jorre Buffet, to find out more about the exciting expansion. Unfortunately, we did not hear back by the time of this publication.

“Since day one, we’ve focused on providing our guests with healthy products, but never at the expense of taste,” the Joe & The Juice website reads.

“Even today, as we venture further into vegetable juices and vegan shakes, we always strive to make them taste amazing. It’s our core belief that the vast majority of our population will only develop a healthy lifestyle if the food and drinks necessary to support that lifestyle taste as good or better than the alternative.”

The man behind the brand is Kaspar Basse, who founded Joe & The Juice in 2002 in Copenhagen. The concept focuses on fresh, made-to-order juices, coffee, and sandwiches with an “edgy” atmosphere. Valedo Partners acquired Joe & The Juice in 2013, and General Atlantic later took ownership to fuel international expansion; the brand has grown from a single, stylish juice bar inside a clothing store into a global brand.

There are now more than 500 Joe and The Juice locations across 20-23 countries. In the US, there are nearly a hundred Joe & The Juice locations, mostly concentrated on the East and West Coasts, Chicago, and Minneapolis. Florida has just a dozen Joe and The Juice stores.

Joe & The Juice is anticipated to open in Downtown Fort Lauderdale at 401 E. Las Olas Blvd, Suite 125 later this year or early next year.

(This is a developing story. As more information is made available, we will update this article. Stay tuned!)
