Puesto, the California-born Mexican restaurant known for its fresh take on Mexico City flavors and vibrant atmospheres, will open in Nashville Yards on Friday, Oct. 23. Puesto Nashville will be the first location outside of California for the family-owned restaurant and is now taking reservations online here.
Located at 991 Exchange Lane, Puesto Nashville marks a new chapter for the brand as it expands beyond its California roots to a new city that shares the team’s passion and appreciation for food, family and hospitality. Founded by brothers Alex, Eric and Alan Adler alongside cousins Isidoro and Moy Lombrozo, Puesto has built its reputation around serving and sharing elevated Mexican cuisine that honors their family’s heritage. For Isidoro, a Vanderbilt alum, the move is something of a homecoming. Nashville is the city where Isidoro spent formative years and bringing Puesto here feels like a natural next step in sharing the family’s table with a community that the team already knows and loves.
“Nashville has always been close to my heart,” said Isidoro Lombrozo, co-founder of Puesto in a statement. “My years at Vanderbilt gave me a real appreciation for this city, its people and its strong sense of community. Coming back to open Puesto with my family feels like a full-circle moment. It’s meaningful to share our Mexican heritage, food and traditions with a city that played such an important role in my life.”
Alex Adler added, “Family is at the heart of everything we do at Puesto. Nashville has been a meaningful location to our family over the years, giving the five of us opportunities to visit, make memories and build community. When we started talking about our expansion plans, Nashville felt like the obvious choice. The city’s thriving hospitality scene and strong sense of community felt like a natural fit for our family-focused approach to contemporary dining.”
Guests will be transported from downtown Nashville to Mexico City from the moment they arrive at Puesto. Local interior design firm, Powell, helped the family bring their vision of creating a lively dining experience to life through vibrant colors, Aztec-inspired woodwork, textured artwork and sculptural elements. Seating up to 380 guests throughout multiple dining areas, inviting booths, family-style tables, an outdoor patio and a 362-square-foot spacious bar offer an immersive experience for every occasion and appetite.
Puesto co-founder Eric Adler added, “Puesto has always been about bringing people together. We’re proud to share our family’s heritage and create meaningful connections through every dish, drink and detail. We look forward to giving Nashville a glimpse into Mexico City while simultaneously creating a place where people can gather, celebrate and make lasting memories of their own.”
Puesto’s menu honors Mexican staples inspired by authentic, generational recipes. While shareables like made-to-order Guacamole, Fresh Ceviche, Esquite and Claire Kittle’s HOSS Tacos kick off a meal at Puesto, the ace of the menu is the handmade Blue Corn Tortillas made with organic fresh masa. Hand-pressed to order by Puesto’s skilled tortilleras, guests can choose from a variety of flavorful tacos including Filet Mignon, Chicken Al Pastor and Baja Seafood. Classic dishes like Enchiladas Suizas, Carne Asada, Mole Colorado, Branzino Zarandeado, Lava Stone Tablitas with the finest cuts of beef will also delight guests, as will the dessert menu featuring thoughtful dishes like Churros, Cookies & Cream Tres Leches Cake, and a Banana Cream Sundae.
Puesto’s bar program is built around tequila, with every bottle selected for its quality, craftsmanship and respect for traditional Mexican distilling. Guests can taste that care in Puesto’s signature margaritas, from the Puesto Perfect margarita to the ultra-premium Pink Cadillac. The program reaches well beyond tequila, too, with a curated non-alcoholic menu of seasonal house-made agua frescas and zero-proof cocktails. Through a new partnership with wellness brand Cymbiotika, Puesto is bringing their feel-good philosophy to the bar with premium ingredients, bold flavors and wellness-inspired additions. It’s everything guests love about a Puesto margarita, made functional and elevated.
Puesto will be open daily for lunch and dinner from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 12 a.m. Friday and Saturday. On Taco Tuesdays, select taco plates are half price. Happy Hour runs daily from 3 to 6 p.m., and a Late-Night Happy Hour is served from 9 p.m. to close on the front patio and at the bar. Guests can also enjoy to-go beverages thanks to Nashville Yards’ open container policy. Private dining is available for groups and special events with delivery, takeout and catering coming soon after opening.
