Muse Coffee plans to open its first brick-and-mortar café at 1212 E. 7th Street, Suite 101, in Austin, according to a project filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.

Owner Adryan Brown told What Now Austin he expects to open in late February or early March 2027. Muse’s coffee truck at 5201 N. Lamar Boulevard will continue operating after the café opens.

Brown shared why he started Muse in an Instagram post.

“I just wanted excellent coffee that didn’t break the bank, served in a space where you never have to question whether or not you belong,” he wrote.

Brown chose a 1,300-square-foot space in East Austin, a neighborhood he wanted Muse to be part of.

“East Austin has deep Black roots, and 7th Street sits right in the middle of that history, in Six Square, a few blocks from Huston-Tillotson. As a Black-owned coffee shop, being here means something to us,” he told What Now Austin.

Muse’s current menu includes espresso drinks, cold brew, matcha, chai, and teas, with options such as Strawberry Matcha and S’mores Cold Brew. Brown plans to change the menu with the seasons and keep classics available year-round.

“Honestly, we just want it to feel like home,” he said. “We try to buy from local folks whenever we can. That way, when you grab a cup or a bite to eat, you’re supporting your neighbors too.”
