Furesh.Shop is planning a January 7, 2027, grand opening at 1205 E. Pike Street in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood, co-owner Austin Solid told What Now Seattle.
Founded by Solid, Furesh specializes in bodysuits for animal-character costumes known as fursuits and also makes individual pieces such as paws and tails.
“Furesh began as a fursuit production studio specializing in custom bodysuits, parts, and tailoring. As we grew, we saw an opportunity to expand our services and collaborate with other creators,” Solid said.
Solid is opening the store with Miles Jonard, who runs The Plant Store. The production studio will operate in the same space. “Partnering with Miles, who brings years of retail experience, helped us bring that vision to life,” he noted.
For the team, Capitol Hill was the perfect neighborhood to take this next step. Customers will find clothing, accessories, artwork, jewelry, and merchandise from independent artists and brands, along with fursuit parts.
“Our production studio will also operate out of the location, offering fursuit cleaning, repairs, alterations, and tailoring services,” he added.
The opening is timed to Anthro Northwest, a Seattle convention where fans of anthropomorphic animal characters shop from artists and costume makers and attend costume-making workshops.
“I’m most excited about bringing so many talented creators together and giving the community a place to discover and support their work year-round. It’s incredibly rewarding to see this project come together, and I can’t wait to share it with everyone!” he said.
More details about the grand opening celebration will be shared closer to January. Follow Furesh.Shop on Instagram for updates.
