Rooster’s Wood-Fired Kitchen may be part of the redevelopment of Green Park Inn at 9239 Valley Blvd., Blowing Rock, with the hospitality project targeting a 2027 opening. CLT Five reported that Noble Food & Pursuits had partnered with the property’s development team to bring a Rooster’s location to the site, although its current involvement has not been independently confirmed.

The project will feature a new building rather than a renovation of the original hotel. In its Instagram post, CLT Five described plans for a 40-room luxury hotel, alongside a private wine cellar, an on-site museum, indoor and outdoor event spaces, and eight new three-bedroom, three-bath cottages.

The original Green Park Inn opened in 1891 and became known for hosting prominent guests, including Eleanor Roosevelt and Presidents Calvin Coolidge and Herbert Hoover, CLT Five reported. The new development is expected to carry forward the property’s historic identity while introducing new accommodations and amenities.

Rooster’s Wood-Fired Kitchen has operated since 1992 and has four existing locations in SouthPark, uptown Charlotte, Ballantyne and Winston-Salem, according to CLT Five. The publication also reported that another location is on the way in Davidson, which would extend the restaurant’s reach beyond its established markets.

If the proposed Blowing Rock location moves forward, it would bring the restaurant into North Carolina’s High Country, a destination known for its mountain setting and visitor traffic throughout the year.

The project is targeting a 2027 opening, though a specific date has not been announced. Further details about the restaurant’s status and the development timeline have yet to be confirmed.
