Kiss the Beast plans to open a Singaporean chicken rice shop at 713 College Street in Toronto, taking over the former Kiss My Pans space, the business announced on Instagram.

Owners Jeanne Chai and David Burga have scheduled a soft opening for Sunday, October 25, 2026, from noon to 9 p.m.

The couple returned to Toronto in 2020 after spending 12 years in Singapore, where they worked in technology and tourism. They later opened Kiss My Pans as a cheese shop. It became a Singaporean restaurant, and they went on to open Agak Agak. Both businesses have since closed.

Their new shop will center on Hainanese chicken rice. For the soft opening, the first 50 customers will receive a free curry puff, and the next 50 will receive a free drink. Each giveaway requires the purchase of a main dish and is limited to one per receipt.
