Set to be located at 2100 N Claiborne Ave., Fit 4 You Dance & Gym Wellness Center will combine a dance studio, fitness center, and internet café, with the goal of being a comprehensive community resource for the Treme-Claiborne corridor when it opens in November.

Owner, certified trainer, and dance coach Troy Lovely recently told What Now New Orleans that Fit 4 You started as a fitness pop-up that “brought wellness to you.”

“I did corporate wellness, I had fitness classes at Mel Ott Park, and I also had a contract with my alma mater, Dillard University, to provide wellness resources,” Lovely said.

The facility places a heavy emphasis on dynamic fitness and movement options. The gym space is equipped with modern cardio machinery, including treadmills and ellipticals, alongside free weights, dumbbells, and dedicated stretching areas. The center will also offer personalized training sessions and structured fitness classes.

Fit 4 You will have a versatile dance studio with programming for all ages and skill levels. Classes will include jazz, hip-hop, ballet, senior-focused movement classes, Zumba, and guided meditation affirmation sessions. The studio will also have performance and cheer teams.

Beyond physical training, Fit 4 You will incorporate a community-focused internet cafe designed to function as a one-stop shop for local residents. The cafe provides complimentary Wi-Fi, computer stations, and essential business services such as printing, copying, and faxing. In addition to coffee, the café will focus on pre-packaged grab-and-go food options, including fresh fruit, salads, sandwiches, kebabs, and bottled beverages.

As Lovely was working to transform the former Louisiana Cash Advance location, he has drawn significant attention for his upcoming business. Neighborhood residents have been stopping by to express support and ask about the upcoming launch.

“The response has been overwhelming,” Lovely said. “People are stopping by because they’re curious and asking if they can help me. I’m thrilled and that just confirmed for me that I’m doing what I’m supposed to do.”
