Bojangles is planning to bring another of its Southern-style chicken restaurants to Texas, with a new location proposed for Corpus Christi.
According to a project filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR), the restaurant is planned for 2809 Cimarron Blvd., Corpus Christi, TX 78414. The project, registered under number TABS2027004575, calls for the new construction of a 2,829-square-foot fast-food restaurant.
Construction is scheduled to begin Jan. 4, 2027, with completion expected by June 30, 2027. The project is estimated to cost $1.8 million. These dates and costs are preliminary and subject to change, and the filing does not confirm an official opening date.
Founded in Charlotte, North Carolina, in 1977, Bojangles has built its name around Southern-style fried chicken, made-from-scratch biscuits, and iced tea. The chain has expanded across the United States, with more than 800 restaurants, according to the company’s official website.
The menu features breakfast, lunch, and dinner options, including chicken biscuit sandwiches, hand-breaded chicken tenders, fried chicken, seasoned fries, dirty rice, coleslaw, and the brand’s signature Bo-Berry Biscuits. Breakfast is a major part of the concept, with biscuits prepared fresh throughout the day.
The planned Corpus Christi restaurant comes as Bojangles continues expanding in Texas. The company’s official expansion page lists several Texas markets among its areas of growth, including Austin, Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston, and San Antonio.
The TDLR filing lists Jingle Jangle RE LLC as the project owner and names Terrence Thames as the owner’s contact. Charles William Pope and Associates, based in San Antonio, is listed as the design firm. The filing does not identify a tenant, and further details about the restaurant’s operations have not yet been announced.
