Lowe’s is planning a new home improvement store in Seguin, Texas, according to a project filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR).

The project, registered under number TABS2027003304, is planned for 2210 IH 10 W Access Road, Seguin, TX 78155. The filing calls for new construction of a 115,177-square-foot home improvement store, with an estimated project cost of $10.5 million.

Construction is scheduled to begin Jan. 11, 2027, with completion expected by Feb. 18, 2028. The project is privately funded, and its TDLR status is listed as “Review Complete.” These dates and costs are preliminary and subject to change, and the filing does not confirm an official opening date.

Founded in 1921 in North Wilkesboro, North Carolina, Lowe’s has grown into one of the largest home improvement retailers in the United States. The company serves homeowners, renters, and professional contractors through its stores and online business, offering products for home renovation, maintenance, repairs, and outdoor projects.

Lowe’s product selection includes lumber, building materials, tools, paint, flooring, appliances, lighting, plumbing supplies, hardware, gardening products, and outdoor equipment. Its stores also offer services and resources to help customers with home improvement projects, including installation services for select products and project planning assistance.

The company operates stores across the United States and serves both do-it-yourself customers and professional builders. Its business includes products for projects ranging from small household repairs to larger renovations and construction work.

The proposed Seguin store would add a substantial retail development along the Interstate 10 corridor. The filing lists Lowe’s Home Centers as the project owner and names Christina Pickett as the owner’s contact. Genesis Design & Associates LLC, based in San Antonio, is listed as the design firm.

Further details about the store’s layout, product offerings, and opening plans have not been announced. WhatNow will update this article as more information becomes available.
