New York City-based The Halal Guys is scouting Atlanta for a location to plop down its third local outpost.

Top areas of interest include downtown Atlanta and Duluth, according to Logan Elder, the JLL broker assisting the Mediterranean concept in identifying sites.

The ideal spot is 1,500 to 2,000 square feet and a patio is required.

“We’re seeking locations with a high daytime population and ‘late night’ business,” Elder said in an email Thursday to What Now Atlanta.

The Halal Guys opened its first Atlanta-area location in Chamblee early 2017.

A second location later this year will open in the forthcoming Modera Midtown mixed-use development.

The fast-casual restaurant franchise began as a food cart on the south-east corner of 53rd Street and Sixth Avenue in Manhattan, New York City.
