UPDATE (October 18, 2018): Gino’s East Pushes Poncey-Highland Opening To December

Gino’s East of Chicago is expanding to Georgia with an Atlanta outpost.

The Chicago-based restaurant chain since 1966 will replace the now-shuttered Rize Artisan Pizza in Poncey-Highland, at 675 N. Highland Avenue.

Signage recently went up at the space announcing the new outpost and a Facebook page and website have also been created for the new location.

The corporate-owned location is set to debut mid-July, a company spokesperson Monday told What Now Atlanta in an email.

The restaurant will serve deep-dish-style pizza alongside appetizers, salads, and sandwiches.

Gino’s East has 16 locations nationwide including the forthcoming Atlanta outpost, according to the restaurant’s website.
