UPDATE (December 27, 2018): Tijuana Garage Owner Addresses Closure, ‘Baseless Rumors’ In Essay To WNA

Tijuana Garage has shuttered in Little Five Points.

The Mexican restaurant’s last day in business was December 21, Tijuana Garage posted to its Facebook page Saturday.

“All good things must come to an end,” according to the social media post.

“Sadly, after 15 years serving the Inman Park, Candler Park, and Little 5 Points communities, we have decided to close after 12/21/2018.”

It’s unclear why the restaurant, at 351 Moreland Ave NE, has closed its doors.

But the space won’t sit dark for long.

“Please watch our location for a new restaurant opening spring-summer 2019.”

Staff at the restaurant were reportedly told that Tijuana Garage would shutter during a company Christmas Party.

“The announcement was made at a Staff Meeting and most of the staff were transferred to Front Page News and other neighborhood restaurants.”
