Rock Steady, a new “casually fine dining” restaurant and music venue, later this year is slated to open in West Midtown.

It is planned for the former Figo Pasta space, at 907 Marietta Street NW.

Rock Steady’s menu will focus on “Jamaican and Caribbean” fare, according to an advertisement seeking a chef and general manager for the company.

Owner Joseph T. Russo sought liquor license approvals from the City of Atlanta last month.

He did not respond to What Now Atlanta’s (WNA) request for comment earlier this week.

Rock Steady will serve liquor, beer, and wine.

There will also be live entertainment and an area for “customer dancing.”

It will open fall 2019, according to a Rock Steady landing page.

Houston’s The Turkey Leg Hut was originally eyeing the Figo space to open its first Atlanta location.

A rep for the restaurant, when reached by WNA earlier this week, had “no new updates as of now.”

The company is focusing on its new Texas locations, she said.
