C&S Restaurant Group has plans to open a second location of its C&S Seafood and Oyster Bar.

The Vinings restaurant (pictured above) will open in Modera Sandy Springs next year, according to a press release Friday, shortly following the execution of a lease.

Although the name will be the same, the new C&S Seafood and Oyster Bar will in a sense be a new concept and the fourth brand for the parent company.

Executive Chef and Co-Owner Jon Schwenk is creating a menu separate from the Vinings location that will “incorporate the Sandy Springs area and discoveries from chef’s recent travels,” according to the release.

The bar program is designed for an “after-hours crowd” featuring a list of bourbon and signature cocktails, as well as locally sourced beer and wine.

An early-2020 debut is likely.

“We’re excited to be moving into a new culinary epicenter of Atlanta, Sandy Springs,” Rich Clark, the “C” of “C&S,” said in the release.

“The neighborhood has had great success over the past year with new restaurant concepts and we are excited to be in the company of great neighbors.”

C&S Seafood and Oyster Bar’s interior will feel like a “modern interpretation of Art Deco” with terrazzo floors, sculpted carpets, custom light fixtures, and deep green-tiled columns.

Peter Zakas, of Z-Space Design, is consulting on the project.

“C&S Seafood and Oyster Bar could be considered transitional in its design with rich leather and stylish mohair, warm two-toned millwork, and gold antiqued mirrors throughout,” Zakas said.

The space will also feature an “exhibition kitchen” and a semi-private dining space located on the mezzanine level of the space.

C&S Seafood and Oyster Bar, at 6125 Roswell Road Suite 700, will serve lunch and dinner seven days a week with extended hours on the weekends.

Modera Sandy Springs is becoming a hotbed for restaurants.

California-based Okiboru is heading to the mixed-use development, joining Clean Juice, District M Sushi, and Casi Cielo.
