Atlanta-based restaurant, hotel, and development company Legacy Ventures—Der Biergarten, Max’s Coal Oven Pizza, STATS Brewpub—will officially open Dos Bocas on Tuesday, September 17.

Dos Bocas, which means “two mouths” in Spanish, replaces Legal Sea Foods, at 275 Baker Street, serving Cajun and Tex-Mex cuisine.

On the menu are dishes like blackened redfish, seafood campechana, and homemade enchiladas, and the beverage program will feature a selection of cocktails including a traditional hurricane, Sazerac, margarita and a “robust” tequila selection.

Legacy Ventures worked with local design firm ASD | SKY on the 8,000-square-foot space.

The interior of the restaurant includes elements of distressed wood, warm lighting, banquette seating, and custom graphics that illustrate the food journey through Texas, Louisiana, and Mexico.

Dos Bocas is split into two levels.

On the first level is a cocktail bar and on the second is a dining and bar area including a second story outdoor patio that overlooks Centennial Olympic Park.

Downstairs, the bar has been treated with a steel hanging shelf where a two-story graphic wall of a mariachi dancer hangs and extends up the stairs to the second-floor bar and dining room.

The restaurant will join Legacy Ventures’ collection of 13 owned and operated restaurants, hotels and event spaces in downtown’s Centennial Park District including STATS Brewpub, Twin Smokers BBQ, Max’s Coal Oven Pizzeria, Der Biergarten, Glenn Hotel, Glenn’s Kitchen, SkyLounge, The Cloakroom Kitchen & Bar, The American Hotel, Embassy Suites by Hilton Atlanta, Hilton Garden Inn, Ventanas, Legacy Test Kitchen and Game-X.

The company’s footprint expands outside of the downtown area with 11 additional assets outside of downtown Atlanta across Georgia, Tennessee, Texas, and Wisconsin.
