Vegas Valley Drive will soon be home to Red Dwarf, a craft beer bar with a with a dive atmosphere and a few food offerings too.

“I’ve been in the beer business in Las Vegas my entire life,” owner Russel Gardner told What Now Las Vegas in a phone call on Thursday afternoon. “There isn’t a dive craft beer bar in Vegas. So I feel like it’s something that’s been missing.”

Gardner confirmed the news of the bar’s opening, adding that work is still being done on the building. Red Dwarf will offer twenty different craft beers on draft, along with a variety of cocktails. The bar’s abbreviated food menu will include Detroit-style pizza and wings.

“Super simple,” he said. “It’s a bar that serves pizza, not a pizza place that happens to have a bar.”

Located 1305 Vegas Valley Dr Suite A, formely occupied by Smuggle-Inn, the bar is abuts Sabor Latino and Official Barber Shop and Shave Parlor.

“Our slogan is Booze, Music, Pizza,” Gardner said, adding that Red Dwarf will also feature live music, with the caveat that this may be somewhat complicated by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

“Very punk rock,” he said, describing the bar’s atmosphere. “Very bluesy.”
