The much-anticipated new Korean restaurant Napal Baji will open soon in Golden Spring Plaza, according to recent coverage from Eater Las Vegas.
The name, which translates to “bell-bottom pants” (literally, “trumpet pants”) is evocative of casual 1980’s Korean nightlife. The atmosphere is to be based on an old-fashioned convenience store, where people could gather to eat a variety of small plates and drink beer and soju.
The menu reflects this atmosphere in its highlighting of Korean pocha, small dishes meant to accompany adult beverages like soju. Photos on the website picture dishes like dried squid and odeng (fish cake) skewers. Alongside these are photos of other Korean group favorites like bulgogi, budae jjigae, and seafood dishes.
Opening at 5865 Spring Mountain Rd, the restaurant will join Golden Spring Plaza’s community of dining locations that include Pier 88 Boiling Seafood & Bar, Feng Cha, and T-Swirl Crepe. The plaza is a desirable new development in a prime location, with a population of more than 418,000 within five miles.
