First taken up almost fifteen years ago, the Fountainebleau Las Vegas project is finally set to be completed toward the end of 2023, Fountainebleau Development recently announced.
Construction has begun once again after having come to a halt during a period in which the project changed hands several times, underwent a temporary rebrand as The Drew, and was acquired again by its original developer in February, in partnership with Koch Real Estate Investments.
“We are grateful to have the opportunity to finish what we started and finally introduce the iconic Fontainebleau brand into one of the world’s largest hospitality destinations,” the developer’s Chairman and CEO Jeffrey Soffer said in a press release. “We have been extremely selective when it comes to expanding our brand. Las Vegas has always been our number one choice.”
Located on 25 acres and approximately 9 million sq.-ft of space on the north end of the Las Vegas Strip, Fountainebleau Las Vegas will be a “vertically-integrated, luxury 67-story hotel, gaming, entertainment, and meeting destination.”
Construction on the project is estimated to be 75% complete. Once finished, it will comprise 3,700 uniquely designed hotel rooms and more than 550,000 square feet of convention space, along with space for restaurants, shops, and other entertainment options.
