Creating Culinary Communities (C3) is coming soon to Venice, at 235 Main Street Suite 235. The newly-launched concept, from hospitality firm sbe Entertainment Group, is a “revolutionary way to approach food halls, ghost kitchens, and mobile delivery.”

The Venice outpost is one of 250 C3 locations set to be in operation by the end of 2022. According to a representative of the company, the Venice location will offer a “large-format front-of-house component with a three-day part-consumer-facing element.” In early October, the location will open “in a modified format.”

C3 signed a five-year lease starting September of this year for the 2,800-square-foot, ground-floor retail space. The ghost kitchen is meant for off-premise dining only with the space allowing restaurants to prepare food solely for delivery through apps like DoorDash or Grubhub. However, like a planned outpost in New York City (pictured above) which calls for a food hall element, “a virtual kitchen is just one component of this location, offering multiple brands out of the back of the house for pickup and delivery in addition to the consumer-facing piece,” said the spokesperson.

The brands that will operate out of this location have not yet been announced but C3’s roster of eateries includes Umami Burger, Krispy Rice, Casa Dani, Sam’s Crispy Chicken, and Plant Nation.

Even Grammy-nominated musicians are betting on virtual kitchens as the way of the future. Wiz Khalifa this week announced the launch of delivery-only restaurant HotBox By Wiz across the country starting October 1 including in LA.
