According to a recent permit filing, a new restaurant called G’s Shepard Springs Cafe is coming to the Shepard neighborhood at 898 Sunbury Rd. As detailed in the building alteration permit document viewed by What Now Columbus, work will be performed on the building to convert the north half of the existing office building into a coffee shop, while the south side of the first floor will remain as office space. The permit document also noted that the second floor will remain unoccupied for future business use.

As detailed in a press release on The Jones Company of America website, the cafe is a partnership between Ray Jones, CEO and owner of The Jones Company of America, and a 16 year veteran of the food industry, Gladys Maricel Alvarez Morales, who is the “G” in the cafe’s name. What Now Columbus reached out to learn the timeline for opening, but didn’t receive an immediate response.

According to information in the press release, the cafe will offer a menu selection of healthy fresh foods, espresso beverages like cappuccinos and mochas as well as teas. The cafe will also have space for private meeting rooms for customers who need a place for small groups to gather or for business meetings.
