Pineapple Express is the newest restaurant from development leaders Culinary Lab, the company behind Hinoki & the Bird, Ortica, Rosaline, 33 Taps, Black Ship, Lost Property, and Sopra. Their newest project is listed to arrive on Hollywood Boulevard in January of 2021.

On the cross-section of Hollywood and Vine on 6253-6263 Hollywood Blvd, Pineapple Express is a new, unknown concept in the same building as Culinary Lab’s 33 Taps Bar & Grill, which was replaced by the group’s other restaurant, Soprano. That one was lead by Hinoki & the Bird Chef Brandon Kida, but has since been listed as “temporarily closed” on Google. Whether Pineapple Express is associated with Culinary Lab’s Soprano restaurant is unknown at this time.

According to the lease obtained by What Now Los Angeles, the Pineapple Express space will occupy the first floor with the exact suite being listed as 1708 Vine, a vacant unit that previously housed Vine Street Lounge. WNLA reached out to Culinary Lab agent Walter Schild, but word on what Pineapple Express may be remains a mystery for the time being.
