Slim & Husky’s Pizza Beeria, a fast-casual pizzeria serving up artisan pizzas, cinnamon rolls, and locally brewed craft beer, will soon open its second Atlanta-area outpost.

The grand opening, at 581 Metropolitan Parkway SW, is expected for March 20, according to the company’s Facebook page, with a tentative block party planned for the following day on March 21.

The founding trio of childhood friends, Nashville natives and Tennessee State University grads, Clint Gray, Derrick Moore, and Emmanuel Reed, first brought Slim & Husky’s to the Atlanta market in May 2019, when they opened up at 1016 Howell Mill Road inWest Midtown.

The Metropolitan Parkway location, which Walter Jordan and The DWRC Group helped develop, is a ground-up build on a 0.42-acre site in the Adair Park neighborhood of Atlanta.

It was acquired for the pizzeria at the end of 2017 for $330,000.

The Adair Park location will continue the founders’ aims to invigorate less touched areas of the community through employment opportunities and accessible dining experiences, according to the company’s website.

The Slim & Husky’s “roll-out” extends beyond Atlanta.

A Memphis outpost is in the works and slated for a Summer 2020 opening.
