For Currying Flavors’ West LA location, Shahed Hasan is looking at a January opening at 11911 W Olympic Blvd. They also hope to open the Northridge location in Summer and an additional one by the end of 2021. The West LA space will be taking over the old Greek Kabob location.

What Now Los Angeles (WNLA) previously reported about the Northridge opening of the fast-casual modern Indian food restaurant, but Hasan revealed this other opening Monday. They also told WNLA that Currying Flavors is currently working on locking down other locations. “We’re looking for spots,” they said. “It just depends on if any good spots come up. Northridge may be Summer and then there may be more at the end of 2021.”

Hasan is excited about the Northridge opening especially. “The fact that it was an Asian-themed food hall and it would bring in customers that are not necessarily familiar with Indian food. It might bring in people — there will be a Korean concept and a Japanese concept — it’ll provide exposure for those who aren’t familiar with Indian food.” Northridge is a pretty hot food destination. A lot of college students and a pretty diverse population.

Currying Flavors’ menu features build your own curry bowls which are customizable, with your favorite type of curry, protein, and your choice of toppings.
